Binaural Beats Studios is on a mission to help people get some peace of mind and enjoy a better life.

Hi, I’m Jon, the guy behind Binaural Beats Studios. I’ve been obsessed with the science of sound my entire life and wanted to share my discoveries with the world.

Jon from Binaural Beats Studios

After discovering binaural beats in 2008, I knew there was something special there. I’d just been fired from my finance job and needed to make some changes. Shortly after, I learned how to meditate and have been practicing (and occasionally teaching) meditation for over a decade.

However, when combining meditation with binaural beats I was able to access a state of tranquility that was unlike anything I’d experienced before.

My mission is to help as many people as possible access this state of tranquility, helping them to make colossal transformations at a deep level and achieve their goals.

I’ve been working relentlessly, traveling the world while utilizing meditation music, binaural beats, NLP, hypnosis, breathwork, mindfulness and anything else that works in my quest to create the ultimate audio products.

With a whole host of binaural beats audio products, you have the power to access a more productive, relaxed, or focussed mindset. Our commitment to quality ensures you get the very best binaural beats experience.

What are binaural beats?

Binaural beats are a sound wave created in the brain that gets produced when you listen to two different frequencies at the same time.

The state of mind you're in directly affects how well you perform in life. If you want to become more productive and focused, then you need the right mindset. The same can be said for relaxing. If you want to get a good night's sleep, recover from physical activity, or meditate then it's impossible to do if your brain is active.

Accessing the right state of mind is easier than you think. It can be done safely and quickly without the need for any medication or drugs. By listening to binaural beats, you have the power to alter your state of mind, shifting the speed and intensity of your thoughts. This process is called brainwave entrainment.

How does the brain work?

Imagine all the activities you do throughout the day. Whether it's sipping on a coffee in the morning, rushing like crazy to get to work on time, or chatting with friends, your state of mind changes depending on whatever situation...

In fact, during sleep, your brain functions completely differently depending on where you are during the sleep cycle.

To alter your brainwave state, it helps to know about the various brain wave frequencies. These are:

Beta waves (12 hz - 30 hz)

When you're feeling wide awake, your brain is likely to be in theta state. Beta waves are associated with awareness and engagement and awareness. It's the ideal state to be in when you want to solve immediate problems or be productive.

Alpha waves (8 hz - 12 hz)

Alpha waves are associated with a relaxed state of mind where you have access to higher levels of creativity. It's also great for a more relaxed focus where you want to learn and absorb information. When you start to meditate your mind enters the alpha state where you start to feel more present in the moment and you have time to process and reflect.

Theta waves (4 hz - 8 hz)

When you enter a deeper state of meditation your mind enters the realm of theta waves. You may notice being in this state as you drift of to sleep or if you're having a lucid dream. From here you start to lose perspective over the sensory world and begin to gain insight into your subconscious mind.

Delta waves (1 hz - 4hz)

The delta state is what you experience when you're in deep sleep. You won't have any awareness in this state but it's essential during your sleep for your body and mind to recover, restore and regenerate.

Gamma waves (30 hz +)

Gamma waves are thought to be implicated in creating the unity of conscious perception, although scientists aren't entirely unified on the exact function of gamma brainwaves, however, when the brain is in the gamma state, people often feel like they're having a spiritual experience.

Are binaural beats safe to use?

The good news is that binaural beats are completely safe to use, since they simply encourage your brain to achieve a state that it's fully capable of achieving on its own.

(That being said, we cannot recommend our products to those with a heart condition or history of seizures, or pregnant women. This isn't because we think it isn't safe, but because we ask people who fall into these categories consult a physician before trying any alternative therapies.)

Are binaural beats good for you?

Yes, when used properly, binaural beats can be very good for you.

The first question to ask yourself is "what do I want?" Because you have to use the right binaural beats depending on the state of mind you desire.

Secondly, you have to use headphones. This is because different sound wave frequencies need to be played through each ear.

Binaural beats can help you to:

  • be more relaxed,
  • become more focused
  • reduce stress
  • meditate
  • improve your physical health
  • access a heightened state of creativity
  • unwind after a hard day
  • get better sleep

It's important that you use the correct binaural beats product to access the state of mind you want.

How do I use binaural beats?

Using binaural beats is easy. Simply get yourself into a comfortable position, put your headphones on and press play. If you're listening to binaural beats to relax or meditate, for example, then you can close your eyes.

If you're listening to improve your productivity while working on your laptop, then continue what you would normally do while you listen to your binaural beats recording.
